Fletcher

Book 1. Start here if you are new. You only get one shot at a second chance. As death sought his last breath, the mind of the historian and storykeeper Farad Ibn Istel was placed in one of the rare crystals of memory. A long time later he awakens, tasked with saving the life of a young boy—a thing no one else can do. Once that is done, he is stuck there: an ancient, disciplined mind mixed with that of a rambunctious, lazy child known as Anders Brolly. To give the boy the life he deserves, old Farad will have to change. Adapt. Find a path through magic and warcraft. It may not be possible for an old hermit to pull off—especially with an ancient evil returning to the world. One that knows him all too well. Start with Fletcher, because an old mind trapped in a young body still has to learn magic—and the crystals of memory are waking. This is Book 1 of Crystals of Memory. The story continues in War Bow, then Traveler. For readers who love epic magical fantasy with long-running character arcs.
