Magus of the Royal Academy

Largo Marrowen already saved a prince, killed a demon champion, and earned the rank of Magus. He expected the Crown to reward him with a comfortable posting after the war—not assign him to run the youngest ward of the Royal Academy. Teaching children should be easy compared to battlefields and dungeons, but the appointment comes with a second purpose: millions in royal taxes are missing, merchants connected to the money are turning up dead, and unnatural dungeons keep appearing beneath some of the most valuable property in the city.
