Imani's alliance with the Country of Evermyre brings peace between them and his Silverfall Dukedom. Unfortunately, it's clear they don't see him as an equal, but as a tool to be used against the Katsi Kingdom, to be discarded when he's outlived his usefulness. Imani knows that power is the only language such nations respect. When the civil war in his old hometown reaches a dangerous peak, Imani marches in as both their saviour and their conqueror. In order to challenge the Katsi Kingdom's only foothold on the mainland, a heavily fortified coastal town protected by vicious treants, Imani and Taisarin must train their soldiers into a true military force capable of conquest. For the first time since he set out on his own, Imani's focus is no longer only on defending what he's built; he's forcibly taking what he needs in order to expand his territory.
