Which, while tough on its own, was made infinitely harder by his father being the local executioner. All of that becomes infinitely worse when his entire family is murdered. Yet fate waits for no-one and Nick must now push ever onward to secure a throne he barely has sat upon a handful of times, because if he doesn't, there's no telling what the Fathin Empire might do to take it.
