The Retired SS Ranked Adventurer

He retired to cook. The world wants its monster back. Joren Cairn used to be the Gloam, the best killer the Ashen Circle ever hired. Forty-seven names on his record. Now he runs a small eatery in the lower ward, burns the occasional pancake, and is raising his eight-year-old daughter alone. Then his name turns up near the top of a bounty list. The first hunter through his door is Liora, a half-elf with a knife and a curse in her wrist. He hires her instead of killing her. Next comes Carys, a runaway advocate with the Oxblood Syndicate’s books in her head and a death sentence on her name. After that, an invitation to a deadly trial at sea, and Rime, the ice-cold swordswoman who has spent three years training to beat him. Joren promised his late wife he’d never kill again. He means to keep that promise. But the people hunting him have found the one thing he can’t lose: his daughter. The Gloam was only asleep. It’s time to wake him up. The Retired SS Ranked Adventurer is a found-family harem LitRPG about a retired dad with a dangerous past and the women who choose to stay. Expect skill screens, kitchen-tool fights, plenty of heat, and a lot of pancakes.
