The Weakening Door

The Door beneath Bastion Nine is failing. The man who owned Nathan's debt wants to open it. Nathan Cross came out of the Sunken Spire with a Tier-3 class, a Legendary bond, and two allies who once tried to kill him. Then a black envelope arrives: three Keystones hold the Ninth Door shut beneath the city. Two are cracked. The third has been stolen. And a hound made of debt contracts is hunting him through the streets. One of its paper tags still reads N. CROSS: TRANSFERRED TO PRINCIPAL ACCOUNT. Malakar's ledger was never a business. It's a harvest. Every settled debt in Bastion Nine has been fed to the thing behind the Door, and Malakar means to stand at the threshold when it opens. To stop him, Nathan needs a disgraced Foundry pressworker who can forge cards nobody has ever made, a shield who quit his job by accident, a collector with an eye that spies for the enemy, and the man who left him to die in the Ash Pit. Inside you'll find: Co-forging: a Siphon and a Cardwright pressing Epic cards in the middle of a boss fight A burning cathedral, a rhythm-locked catacomb, and a heist under the Foundry Two hundred thousand debts burned in a single night Selis unmasked, and the truth about the Nine Doors An ending that will stay with you Book Three of Soulforged Deck.
