Wraithbound Academy 4

His father told him not to come. He went anyway. Kael Voss has five dead students in his head, a seal under his academy that is failing one step at a time, and a two-word letter from a man he was told had drowned: Don't come. The letter came from Ashmere, six days south, a house with warm rooms, good bread, and no locks on any door. The people who run it are kind. They have kept his father there for thirteen years, and they have a reason they believe in. To get inside, Kael must put his own name in the Order's book, and names in that book do not come out again. On the road he has a swordswoman learning what it costs to give orders, an heiress whose best clause is about to be turned against her, and an archivist who has never been farther than a day from home. Inside the house he finds an attendant with a kettle, a pocket watch, and six years of doubts she has told no one. She is the one who posted the letter. Somewhere behind all of it sits an old man who counts the chairs in every room he enters. He paid for Kael's schooling. He would like to explain why. Under the oldest tower, someone has been holding a door shut for three hundred years. He is very tired. And he has just heard a friend's name. Wraithbound Academy is a 135,000+-word men’s LitRPG academy adventure featuring progression, found family, and a building harem (with explicit scenes). Book Four of the Wraithbound Academy series.
